You will be forgiven

Can't beat a walk near Casa at 6am to see the sunrise
hitting the mountains and the moon still in the sky!
I took an early morning stroll towards Casa de Fe at 6am to catch a glimpse of the sunrise on the mountains. Well, it was actually more of a jog, because I could see how beautiful it was when I was leaving, but I wanted an unobstructed view which required getting out of the middle of town. I made it there in time and it was totally worth it, the scenery has been incredible since it has been so clear. I had some breakfast before heading outside to read in the front yard. A book by Dr. Chris Thurman talks about the importance of forgiveness, "Finally, and the most difficult of all, you need to forgive. Forgiveness is an act of your will where you decide to wipe the slate clean and make a conscious commitment not to hold what people did to you against them. It means letting go of the past so that you can live more fully in the here and now. It means truly letting something be 'water under the bridge'" This is often one of those topics easier said than done, but whether it be the smallest offense or something that cuts deep we are called to forgive. Forgiveness is something God continues to teach me more about and as I seek Him for forgiveness and forgiving others I learn how to truly let go. Luke 6:37 says, "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven." I still have a lot to learn, but I thank God for the growth I have seen in my life because of the ways He has shown me to forgive. It was time for my own refrigerio (morning snack) when I was done reading so I made myself some coffee and ate chocolate roll with cinnamon sugar, so yummy! If I had to pick a favorite time to do chores, it would be in the morning, so I cleaned the house, did laundry, washed dishes, and all that stuff to get me ready for a new week. It is always nice to come home to a clean house! I was missing my family this morning, I am so glad they all get to be together at my cousins wedding, but it is hard not being able to be there to support them. I love my family so much and wish I could be with them family on this special day. I decided to go grocery shopping to stock up on some need food and when I got home I was invited to go to the pool with the Martin's, Jason and his girls, and the Freeman girls. I was really excited to go lay by the pool with them and get out of the house! We went to the Hosteria Shell and they had a great little swimming area. When we were all done in the sun, I went home to clean up, then headed over to Birgit's house to help set up for the adoption party. I organized some games for the kiddos on her awesome rooftop porch, then I went downstairs to visit with some of the adults before prayer and worship! On the walk home from the party I ran in to a bunch of people I knew, sometimes I see one or two but tonight I saw a lot more which was fun. It makes it feel like a nice little hometown when I see friends around. Seeing familiar faces continued on my evening walk with Tandy too. When we finished walking I ran to pick up some breakfast for the morning before heading in for the night, then it was time to get ready for bed.
